What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We collect any information that you enter into forms on the site. This includes forms such as registration, login, donation, partner and any other forms. We collect and store data from the registration and login forms to create an account for you on our website, to enhance your experience on the site. For the donation a partner forms, we collect your information to be able to contact you in the future, should the need arise.

The IP address of visitors, user ID of logged in users, and username of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log out requests, requests for suspicious URLs, changes to site content, and password updates. This information is retained for 60 days.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. By submitting any form of content to us, you give us full consent to use and modify the submitted content.

Contact forms (Including Donations)

All submitted form data is captured and emailed to our team, and stored on our servers. All forms use Google reCaptcha v3 to validate interactions and submission.

Cookies

By using this site, you opt-in to using cookies.
If you register or submit any form on our site you opt-in to saving your name, email address and any other personal information that you supplied in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you fill out another form. These cookies will last for up to one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Your region will be stored in a cookie, to determine which content needs to ‘primarily’ be displayed (USA, UK or Africa).
We additionally use cookies to track user interactions with the site, and store preferences. For example, keeping track of if you have seen and closed a specific message, to not display it again, or if you mute the sound of certain elements, that those elements will remain muted after you refresh the page.

Personal information about our users is an integral part of our business. We neither rent nor sell your personal information to anyone with the exception of sharing your information with an applicable Third Party services.

What third parties we receive data from

For user validation, we use Google reCaptcha v3. We use this for all form submissions (Login, Contact, Donations).

We receive your geo-location from CloudFlare, to determine which region to place you in when you visit the site.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Security logs are retained for 60 days.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes (for example donation and partner data, or contact form logs). This also does not include any anonymized data that might have been recorded of you.

Where we send your data

We employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your information with them to provide products or services to you. Unless we tell you differently, FAITH BROADCASTING NETWORK’s agents do not have any right to use personal information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us. You hereby consent to our sharing of personal information for the above purposes. Business Transfers: In some cases, we may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, customer information is typically one of the business assets that are transferred.
